Jeddah Red Sea Film Fest unveils Shorts Competition films.

The Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah has revealed the lineup of movies competing in the Red Sea: Shorts Competition at its third edition. The festival’s Instagram account described the program as featuring a wide range of short films, including narrative, documentary, and animated works, all characterized by their strong narrative storytelling.

This competition includes entries from various countries such as Pakistan, Singapore, Kazakhstan, and Senegal, providing a platform for 14 emerging and established filmmakers. The theme for their submissions is “Your Story Your Festival.”

The list of titles includes films like “Titanic, Primetime Mother” by Farnoosh Samadi, “The Late Wind” by Shugyla Serzhan, “The Wait” by Imran Hamdulay, “Solatia” by Hira Yousafzai, “Yaa” by Amartei Armar, “Dusk” by Awa Moctar Gueye, “The Courier” by Tigran Agavelyan, “Suitcase” by Saman Hosseinpuor and Ako Zandkarimi, “Terra Mater – Motherland” by Kantarama Gahigiri, “Eid Mubarak” by Mahnoor Euceph, “In Between, Accidentally Intentional” by Ethar Baamer, and “The Suitcase” by Numan Acar.

Participating in this festival allows these filmmakers to showcase their work, making both regional and global premieres of their films. The festival itself is scheduled to take place in Jeddah from November 30 to December 9.
