UAE Strongly Condemns Israeli Minister’s Alarming Nuclear Bomb Remark
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has vehemently denounced and expressed its strong disapproval of the shocking and unacceptable comments made by Israeli Minister of Heritage Amihai Eliyahu regarding the use of a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip. These remarks are viewed as a breach of international law and an encouragement for severe violations of International Humanitarian Law, including war crimes. Furthermore, they have raised significant concerns about the potential intent to commit genocide.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) reiterated the UAE’s outright rejection of any threat involving nuclear weapons. The UAE underlines that the topmost priority is to safeguard the lives of innocent civilians and provide them with the necessary humanitarian aid.
The Ministry also stressed the immediate necessity of a ceasefire to prevent further loss of life. It emphasized the importance of safeguarding civilians, in accordance with international law and treaties, and ensuring that they are not targeted during conflicts.
The UAE has called upon the global community to intensify their efforts to prevent the escalation of the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. They emphasize the need to pursue comprehensive and fair peace efforts while avoiding the region’s involvement in heightened levels of violence, tension, and instability.
