H&M’s CEO, Helena Helmersson, has expressed concerns about a rise in shoplifting, especially in the United States. She mentioned that this is a notable issue, and the world’s second-largest fashion retailer is exploring ways to enhance security in its stores.

In an interview with Reuters, Helmersson emphasized the prevalence of retail theft in the US, indicating that this is not limited to H&M and is an industry-wide challenge.

These remarks followed comments from the company’s CFO, Adam Karlsson, who also noted an increase in shoplifting in recent months. He stated that H&M is actively seeking solutions to address this issue.

H&M is not the only major retailer grappling with this problem, as other executives from large retail companies have also raised concerns about the growing issue of shoplifting.
