The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA), Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, inaugurated the second edition of the “Made in Saudi” expo. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mayor of Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and the Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan.
The expo, running until October 19, brings together leading national industries, services, and innovations, showcasing the competitiveness of Saudi industries.
Iraq is the guest of honor in this edition of the expo, represented by the Iraqi Minister of Trade, Atheer Al-Ghurairy, with the participation of 24 Iraqi companies. This participation aims to strengthen economic relations between the two countries and enhance trade exchange, offering growth opportunities for Saudi goods and services.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources emphasized the importance of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. He highlighted that the “Made in Saudi” program is a national initiative encompassing all products and services, requiring joint efforts from the government, private sector, and individuals.
He also noted the Kingdom’s strong industrial foundation, capable of overcoming challenges and establishing a competitive identity for Saudi industry on both local and global scales.
The second edition of the “Made in Saudi” expo hosts over 100 Saudi companies and is expected to witness the signing of more than 40 agreements, including export and industry localization agreements with a total value exceeding SAR 1 billion.
