The UAE Digital Government, in partnership with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (UAEICP), has implemented a new visa fine system. If a visa expires and an individual continues to stay in the country, they will be charged AED50 for each day beyond the visa’s expiration date. This rule specifically addresses cases where residents or tourists overstay their expired visas in the UAE.
