Torrential rainstorms and flooding have claimed the lives of at least five individuals across Greece, Turkey, and Bulgaria. Among the casualties are two individuals who were tragically swept away as floodwaters inundated a campground situated in Turkey’s northwestern province.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported on Tuesday that an additional four individuals remain unaccounted for following the sudden flash flood that struck the holiday site in Kirklareli province, located near the borders of Bulgaria and Greece. At the time of the incident, approximately 12 holidaymakers were present.
