Recently, there’s been a big debate in India because the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, used ‘Bharat’ instead of ‘India’ on official invitations. This has made people wonder if the country’s name might actually change.

In invitations to a dinner for the G20 summit, they referred to Droupadi Murmu as the “President of Bharat” instead of the usual “President of India.
