The cast of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” is reuniting for a new Audible original titled “Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.” Original actors James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Head, Juliet Landau, Emma Caulfield Ford, Amber Benson, James Charles Leary, and Danny Strong will be joined by newcomer Laya DeLeon Hayes.
Set a decade after the show’s final episode in 2003, the audio series introduces a fresh story with Spike (Marsters) going undercover in Los Angeles. He’s tasked with convincing the forces of darkness that he’s returned to his evil ways while tracking down a watcher for his new protégé (DeLeon Hayes). Their journey collides with a parallel reality where Buffy Summers never existed, and Cordelia Chase (Carpenter) is the one-and-only Slayer.
Notably, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Eliza Dushku, and David Boreanaz from the original series do not appear to be part of this project.
“Slayers” is set to debut on October 12, offering fans a new and immersive audio storytelling experience in the Buffyverse
