Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and Indian lawmaker Raghav Chadha tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the Leela Palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on September 24.

The event was attended by several celebrities, including fashion designer Manish Malhotra, tennis star Sania Mirza, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, and Aditya Thackeray, the son of former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray. Notably, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Parineeti’s cousin, was absent, but her mother, Madhu Chopra, was present.

The day began with a ‘chooda’ ceremony for Parineeti, where she adorned a set of bangles. Chadha’s ‘baraat,’ the groom’s procession, arrived at the venue, situated in the middle of a lake, on boats.

The ‘sangeet,’ a pre-wedding musical night, was made memorable by popular Punjabi singer Navraj Hans, and photos of him at the event went viral on social media.

Parineeti and Chadha got engaged in May in New Delhi, with leading politicians like Kejriwal and Mann attending the event. Chopra Jonas, who flew in from the US, also graced the engagement ceremony.

Speculation about their relationship had been circulating for a while, as they were seen together in London and Mumbai. They had studied together in the UK and had been friends for a long time. Despite being spotted together frequently, they didn’t officially confirm or deny their relationship.

In March, Sanjay Arora, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, which Chadha is associated with as a lawmaker from Punjab, had wished them well on social media. However, Chadha had responded that he would answer questions about politics but not about Parineeti.
