British-Egyptian actor Amir El-Masry has received a nomination for the Best Supporting Performance category at the British Independent Film Awards for his role in the movie “In Camera.” The film, which premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, follows the story of a young actor named Aden, played by Nabhaan Rizwan, who faces a series of nightmarish auditions. In addition to his film work, El-Masry has appeared in Netflix’s “The Crown” and “The One,” based on John Marrs’ novel. He has previously received recognition, including the BAFTA Scotland award for Best Actor for his role in “Limbo” and the BAFTA Breakthrough Brits award. The nomination adds to his growing list of accomplishments in the film industry.
