Neymar, the Brazilian football star, left the field in tears with a suspected knee injury during Brazil’s World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay. In the 44th minute of the game at the Centenario Stadium, the 31-year-old striker tripped and fell, clutching his left knee. Players from both teams gathered around him as he was carried off on a stretcher with his hands on his face. Richarlison replaced him in the match.
As of now, Brazil’s medical team has not provided an update on Neymar’s condition. Before this World Cup qualifier, Neymar faced criticism from fans due to his underwhelming performance in Brazil’s previous 1-1 draw against Venezuela. Neymar has been a key figure for the Brazilian national team, making his debut in 2010 and scoring 79 goals in 128 appearances. He currently plays for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
