Saudi Arabia to Host 2034 FIFA World Cup
FIFA World Cup : Saudi Arabia has emerged as the sole bidder for the 2034 FIFA World Cup after Australia withdrew from the competition. FIFA will officially ratify this decision at a special congress at the end of next year. Initially, Saudi Arabia was exploring the possibility of a joint bid for the 2030 World Cup alongside Egypt and Greece. However, they decided to bid for the 2034 event, with the country already having the infrastructure to host large-scale sporting events.
Hosting the FIFA World Cup would be another milestone in Saudi Arabia’s growing sports and entertainment industry, which has seen the country host various major sporting events since 2018, including Formula 1 races, golf tournaments, boxing, and the upcoming Club World Cup in December.
