Qatari beach volleyball team beats South Korea 2-0 at Asian Games

The Qatari beach volleyball team, represented by Mahmoud Essam and Abdullah Naseem (Team 2), began their journey at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou with a strong 2-0 victory over South Korea (Team 1).

Qatar has two beach volleyball teams participating in the tournament. Qatar (Team 1) comprises Ahmed Tijan and Sherif Younis. They have been placed in a group alongside Indonesia (Team 2) and the Philippines (Team 2). Their matches will commence on Wednesday against Indonesia and continue on Friday when they face the Philippines.

Qatar’s second team, Qatar (Team 2), will compete against Iran on Wednesday and Macau on Thursday.

Sherif Younes and Ahmed Tijan, representing the Qatari beach volleyball team, hold an impressive third place in the world rankings with 6,580 points. They earned this ranking through their participation in eleven tournaments and world tours in recent times.
