As per the sources of Leaders of Asia, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, in collaboration with the National Space Services Company (NASCOM), has announced a rescheduling of the launch of the experimental scientific rocket “Duqm-1” due to unfavorable weather conditions. Originally planned for today, the launch has been delayed to ensure optimal conditions for a safe and successful operation.
In a joint statement, the Ministry and NASCOM emphasized that launching experimental scientific rockets requires meticulous calculations of weather factors, including wind speed and its compatibility with the rocket’s size and velocity. The statement highlighted the importance of precision in such operations, noting that any deviation from ideal conditions could impact the launch.
The statement also clarified that there would be no direct media coverage of the launch, given its status as the first experimental operation. Members of the public were advised to take precautionary measures during the designated launch window and to avoid the vicinity of the launch site. Fishermen and seafarers, in particular, were urged to refrain from sailing or being present in the area during this time.
According to the Leaders of Asia sources, the Ministry and NASCOM reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the success of the Duqm-1 project and pledged to proceed with the launch as soon as weather conditions permit.
