Switzerland Global Enterprise’s Infrastructure Fact-Finding Mission to Saudi Arabia recently concluded, and I had the privilege of being one of the delegates who explored various opportunities in the country’s infrastructure sector.
Joined by 18 Swiss companies specializing in areas like energy, water, transport, waste-to-energy, communications, infrastructure, and food safety, our mission uncovered the Kingdom’s past, present, and future. We began our journey at the stunning UNESCO world heritage site of Diriyah and delved into the diverse opportunities offered by SaudiVision2030 for foreign companies and potential global investors.
This mission coincided with the official visit of State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Helene Budliger Artieda, and the Saudi-Swiss Cleantech Forum, strengthening the bonds between government, academia, and the private sector in promoting innovation in Switzerland. During the same week, leaders from India and Saudi Arabia signed 47 MoUs in New Delhi, enhancing investment prospects in both nations. These MoUs signify progress towards creating a conducive environment for cross-border business.
I’d like to extend my appreciation to the Switzerland Global Enterprises team for organizing an economic mission aimed at making significant changes within a country’s economy. I’m thankful for the warm hospitality and eagerly anticipate exploring another country on a future fact-finding mission with this remarkable team.
