Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, who serves as the President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) and leads the Saudi delegation at the 19th Asian Games, paid a visit to the Saudi delegation’s headquarters in the Athletes’ Village in Hangzhou on Sunday evening. Accompanying him were Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the Vice President of the SOPC, and Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah, who is the Head of the Saudi mission.
During this visit, Prince Abdulaziz met with both male and female athletes, as well as the delegation’s administrative staff. He ensured that all facilities were ready and expressed his full support to make sure they can represent the Kingdom in a manner befitting its reputation.
Simultaneously, on behalf of the delegation’s leader, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi attended an official dinner hosted by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). This event was attended by the heads of the participating delegations in the tournament and several international sports officials. In recognition of SOPC’s support for the promotional campaign of the 19th Asian Games, the OCA presented Prince Fahd with a commemorative shield. The support was exemplified through the organization of the Fun Run event in Riyadh last December, which witnessed the participation of numerous Asian sports personalities.
