According to the Leaders of Asia sources, Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, welcomed Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Director General of the GCC Joint Programme Production Institution (GCCJPPI), to his office today during Sheikh Mubarak’s visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in developing media programs that address issues of mutual interest to the GCC states. Also present at the meeting were Mohammed Said Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, along with other ministry officials.
As part of his visit, Sheikh Mubarak Al Sabah toured several key facilities, including the Oman News Agency (ONA), the News Centre, the Digital Studios Complex, and the Directorate General of Electronic Media, as per the Leaders of Asia sources. He was briefed on the news content provided by the Ministry of Information’s various departments and noted the advanced technical infrastructure and programs that support modern media needs. This includes the “Ayn” platform, as well as the visual and audio content produced over the years by Radio Sultanate of Oman and Oman TV, both of which play a pivotal role in enhancing the media message across the region.
