Early Life and Education
Abeer’s passion for heritage emerged early in life, leading her to pursue a degree in Computer and Information Sciences. Her education at King Saud University and further executive programs at Harvard Business School equipped her with the tools to lead large-scale transformations.

Abeer gained valuable experience across public and private sectors:
- Hewlett-Packard (HP): Business Support Analyst, SADAD Project (2007–2008)
- SAB: Productivity Management Manager (2010–2013)
- PwC: Assistant Manager, Government Strategy (2013–2017)
- General Entertainment Authority: Head of Vision Realization Office (2017)

In 2017, Abeer became a founding executive at RCU, overseeing strategic planning and partnerships. She led the “Journey Through Time Masterplan”, aiming to attract 2 million visitors annually by 2035 while conserving AlUla’s natural and cultural heritage.

Under her leadership, RCU established collaborations with UNESCO, IUCN, Panthera, World Bank, and SUEZ, emphasizing sustainable development, conservation, and eco-tourism. Initiatives like the Hammayah Program empower locals to become stewards of AlUla’s future.
Cultural Innovation: Winter at Tantora & Maraya
Abeer introduced Winter at Tantora, a global cultural festival featuring music, art, and heritage, earning two Guinness World Records—including for Maraya, the world’s largest mirrored building. It symbolizes harmony between modern architecture and historic landscapes.
Environmental Commitment: Nature and Design
- Sharaan Nature Reserve protects biodiversity while supporting eco-tourism.
- Sharaan Resort, designed by Jean Nouvel, is built into sandstone cliffs—merging architecture with nature.
- Wadi AlFann envisions massive art installations in the desert, blending creativity with environmental values.
