The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially revealed the fixtures and groupings for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, set to take place from February 19 to March 9. This exciting tournament will feature eight teams competing in 15 day-night matches across venues in Pakistan and Dubai.

Host Nations and Venues

In Pakistan, the matches will be hosted at three iconic venues:

    • Rawalpindi
    • Lahore
    • Karachi

Meanwhile, according to the reports of Leaders team sources, Dubai will serve as the secondary host, specifically for India’s group-stage matches and the first semi-final. The grand finale is scheduled to be held in Lahore on March 9. However, if India qualifies for the final, it will be moved to Dubai. Both semi-finals and the final will have reserve days to ensure uninterrupted play.

Opening Match and Key Clashes

The tournament kicks off on February 19 with hosts Pakistan taking on New Zealand in Karachi. Dubai will see its first action the following day as India faces Bangladesh.

Cricket fans are especially looking forward to the high-stakes Pakistan-India clash on February 23 in Dubai, a marquee fixture of the tournament.

Another notable weekend fixture includes a classic rivalry between England and Australia in Lahore on February 22.

As per the sources of Leaders team, the eight participating teams were determined based on the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 points table. They are divided into two groups:

Group A:

    • Pakistan (Hosts and reigning Champions Trophy winners)

    • Australia (Cricket World Cup 2023 champions)
    • England
    • South Africa
    • Afghanistan
